Elon Musk’s Multi-billion Dollar Mars Rocket, Explained

SpaceX just revealed the Starhopper!

The Starhopper is a physical representation of the future of the company.

Elon Musk shared his dream at the founding of SpaceX. The dream started with a simple idea. To send a little plant to mars to inspire people about space travel.

This dream has developed into Musk believing Earth 2.0 will take place on Mars by the year 2050.

SpaceX plans to create ships that will send 150 people with 150 tons of cargo at a time.

They are testing the concepts in South Texas. Here the Starhopper is currently being tested with it’s new engines.

Raptor engines are the size of a small delivery truck and contain what can be thought of as “a small bomb going off.”

These raptor engines will continue to be placed on bigger and bigger ships further pushing SpaceX towards being able to support colonies to Mars.

There’s A Nationwide STEM Teacher Shortage. Will It Cost Us The Next Einstein?

According to a team of Harvard economist, we’re losing Einsteins every day. The lab recently released data that says we’re missing out on breakthrough innovations that statistically speaking, should be occurring all over the country.

The study primarily found that children born in low-income and middle-class families were less likely to become inventors.

“Statistics show that schools where most students qualify for a free lunch lack teaching resources for math and have fewer opportunities for hands-on science. Only a quarter of high-poverty high schools offer computer science classes, and only eight percent offer AP computer science.”
